After Care Instructions and Warranty

Overview: Central Surface Restoration Ltd specializes in the restoration of damaged items or areas on hard surfaces. These materials are typically manufactured in controlled, sterile environments using intense heat or high pressure. Due to on-site limitations, our repair and resurfacing processes may not fully replicate original conditions. Nevertheless, Central Surface Restoration Ltd aims to provide a high-quality finish that saves you time and money.

Working Environment: To achieve the best results, Central Surface Restoration Ltd needs to work in a controlled area with limited access, except for company personnel. Airborne dust, aerosols, and silicone can adversely affect the finish. Please be aware that small pinholes may appear on porous or worn surfaces.

Existing Flaws and Defects: Flaws or defects from manufacturing or aging may impact the final finish. Addressing these issues may require additional work and costs not included in the original quote.

Care and Maintenance: While the restored items or areas may appear new, they require special care.

Caring for Your Repaired or Resurfaced Item/Area:

  1. Allow for proper curing time: Avoid touching the repair or placing items on it until the recommended curing time has passed. For large resurfaced items or areas (e.g., baths, basins, and ceramic tiling), allow at least 48 hours before use. For smaller damage rectification, allow a minimum of 8 hours before use.

  2. Use non-abrasive cleaning products: Follow the original manufacturer’s cleaning instructions. Use only household creams or liquid cleaners without abrasives, applied with a soft cloth or sponge. Do not use abrasive pads (e.g., Scotch-Brite or similar brands). Be aware that discoloration can result from chemical staining, such as dyes (including hair dyes) or products containing bleach or acids/alkalines. Test new products in an inconspicuous area.

  3. Protect against excessive heat, movement, and moisture: Repairs are designed to react similarly to the substrate’s normal operating parameters. However, exercise caution by:

  • Not applying direct flame or heat exceeding 350°F (177°C)
  • Avoiding excessive structural movement or movement of fixtures
  • Preventing excessive moisture caused by standing water

Warranty: Central Surface Restoration Ltd repairs come with a 12-month warranty, unless otherwise specified. The warranty covers flaking, peeling, and general adhesion failure, subject to the exceptions listed below. Rust-related failures are expressly excluded.
